Light output excellent. But what happens if the motion-detector timer fails to shut off and the high-heat producing halogen bulb stays on?
In my case, it caused the outer plastic housing to melt down and possibly to have caught fire, just two weeks after installed. Fortunately, it was self-limiting, but the heat blistered the paint on the wood siding on which the light was mounted. The siding could have, but did not, catch fire, or else the house could have burned down. The manufacturer said it shouldn't happen. But it did. And if it happened once, it can happen again.
